A hui for the whanau and hapu members who affiliate to the following Cluster 1 marae,

Potaka , Hinemaurea ki Wharekahika, Punaruku,Tutua, Hinerupe, Matahi o te Tau, Te Kahika and Awatere
- will be held on

Sunday 18th May , 2008
at 11.00am
Hinerupe Marae, Te Araroa

1. Selection of the Cluster 1 representative on the Ngati Porou Treaty Settlement Negotiation Sub-committee of Te Runanga O Ngati Porou
2. Selection of the Cluster 1 Advisory Trustee on to the Porou Ariki Trust

Tawhai Davies "He Ra Maumahara" Golf Day

golf.jpgOn  Saturday the 17th May 2008 the ‘Tawhai Davies' Memorial golf day will take place at the Chambers Pines Golf Club, 657 Chambers Flats Road, Chambers Flats.

Tawhai was of Ngati Porou and Ngapuhi descent and equally loved by both sides of his whakapapa. He was active in the Maori community and was the past president of the Queensland Maori Performing Arts Society (Q.M.P.A.S) and Queensland Delegate of Nga Kapa Taumata Teitei (NKTT) The governing body or matua of kapahaka in Australia.
