Annual General Meeting Election Results

The Ngati Porou Annual General Meeting took place at the Darra Oxley Pony Club 588 Boundary Road, Oxley at 1pm Sunday the 16th March 2008. If you were lying at home on the couch after a hard night on the town... kaitoa koe... kare koe whakarongo atu ki to mama. Haha ana to kai! This was a do not miss affair too. So if you don't like 'so and so' and 'this and that' 'oh and I don't like that and are a real 'grumble guts' who just sits in a chair and 'shakes your head and fold your arms'...got some news for ya...forget it...you should have been there aye! Anyway here is our committee for 2008.

Tawhai Davies "He Ra Maumahara" Golf Day

golf.jpgOn  Saturday the 17th May 2008 the ‘Tawhai Davies' Memorial golf day will take place at the Chambers Pines Golf Club, 657 Chambers Flats Road, Chambers Flats.

Tawhai was of Ngati Porou and Ngapuhi descent and equally loved by both sides of his whakapapa. He was active in the Maori community and was the past president of the Queensland Maori Performing Arts Society (Q.M.P.A.S) and Queensland Delegate of Nga Kapa Taumata Teitei (NKTT) The governing body or matua of kapahaka in Australia.
